Pride Month is a time to celebrate the
community and the achievements of people who identify as LGBTQIA+. In most
places, Pride is celebrated throughout June each year to commemorate its roots
in the Stonewall Riots of June 1969. The BEDI Books + More Club has
organized a special Pride Day Event and panel discussion on “Transgender Legislation and
Transgender Community Support.”
We are honored to have a lineup of outstanding
speakers, including Ashley Mayfaire from TransSocial,
Daniel Tilley from ACLU Florida, and Mateo Ventura Bruer from
the AQUA Foundation.
