It has become well established that formative assessments are helpful feedback for both students and teachers to assess learning and ensure all students are staying on track. It is also well established that quick, multiple-choice questions can be extremely useful to fulfill this function. The next level question is: "What happens after the students answer the questions?" For many teachers, self-grading feedback through an LMS, with or without explanations are extremely helpful to allow for frequency of assessment without an overburden of constant grading and encourages self-directed learning for students. But these assessments can be even more useful by having students take ownership of assigned questions and become the teachers and experts for the class. This presentation will describe the process for having students creatively present a multiple-choice question and answer to the class--in whatever format they choose (such as Tik Tok style videos), which make them both subject matter experts for themselves and the class, and truly take ownership of their learning.

- Understand the importance of feedback in formative assessments.
- Take away ideas for transferring the ownership of learning from the teacher and assessment to the student through a follow-up assignment.
- Understand the value of self-directed learning for students.
